Kamar M. S. Aulakh

Mr. Aulakh has proven expertise at running global technology enterprises. He is involved with entrepreneurial ventures associated with Healthcare and Internet Services in the United Sates, Europe, and Asia. He possesses over 30 years of professional Information Technology experience, and has developed software products and services for corporations in the Healthcare, Telecommunications, and Energy industries. Before venturing into entrepreneurship, Mr. Aulakh was the Chief Executive Officer of Quark Inc., an international company specializing in software for the publishing industry. He grew the company into a truly multinational organization, attained double digit revenue growth, and maintained extremely healthy operating margins. Mr. Aulakh has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Master's in Industrial Engineering, and an MBA. He has traveled worldwide to meet with customers, explore new markets, and evaluate talent.
Amar P.S. Chahal, MD, MBA

Dr. Chahal is a co-founding member of the Board of Directors of Velos Inc., a leading provider of next-generation healthcare software. He has served Velos since September 1996 in the capacities of Executive Vice President, and Chief Technology Officer. From 1992 to 1996 he was Director, Health Services, for Software Services International Inc., and from 1990 to 1992 he provided consulting services to Merck & Company. Dr. Chahal was a resident and then practicing orthopedic/vascular surgeon in the National Health Service in the United Kingdom from 1983 to 1989. Prior to that, he directed a primary care hospital in Punjab, India, as part of a World Health Organization project. Dr. Chahal holds an MBA from Columbia University; his Fellowship exams in Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, Scotland; and an MD from the Armed Forces Medica College, Pune, India. He has spoken and written on surgery, healthcare informatics, the Internet, and strategic issues in clinical research. Dr. Chahal has also spoken extensively on streamlining the infrastructure and processes associated with clinical trials.
